Application Process and Required Documents:
Step 1. Teacher reviews TEF Mini Grant Guidelines.
Step 2. Informal discussion between teacher and the principal of his/her respective school to ensure scope and mission are consistent with guidelines (no documents required) to receive support to proceed with application.
Step 3. Teacher completes Checklist and TEF Mini Grant Application and submits these digital documents to the TEF Mini Grant Committee. Then, the Funding Request Form should be printed, signed by principal, scanned and emailed to Mini Grant Committee Chair, Valerie Lensborn (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Step 4. TEF Mini Grant Committee reviews the application (between the 1st and 5th of each month) to make sure it’s consistent with the mission and scope of the grant guidelines and that the checklist is complete and provides feedback to the teacher. (5 DAY Turnaround)
Step 4A. If not approved, TEF Mini Grant Committee provides feedback to the teacher with suggestions.
Step 4B. Teacher revision and re-submission to Mini Grant Committee. TEF Mini Grant Committee will do a secondary review and provide feedback. (5 DAY Turnaround)
Step 5. Once approved by TEF Mini Grant Committee, the application and checklist are then forwarded to the TES/OTS Administration for Approval. The Administration will review the application as well as the checklist and inform the Mini Grant Chair if the application will move on for BOE approval. (5 DAY Turnaround)
Step 6. The Administration presents the approved application at the next BOE meeting and, once BOE approved, notifies the TEF Mini Grant Chair and Committee of approval. (5 DAY Turnaround from date of BOE meeting)
Step 7. Teacher is informed of grant status by the TEF Mini Grant Chair and/or Administration. If approved, the teacher proceeds with the grant and submits required BOE Requisition Form to the BOE Office as materials are purchased.
